'Eavy Metal Haul of Vintage Orks and a classic Meganob

     A friend at the gaming club decided to sell off his vintage Ork collection, so I jumped on it like a facebiter squig.  I haven't counted the models yet, but I would number them somewhere north of 200, most of which are unique sculpts.  I immediately pulled out a Nob in 'Mega Armour' and cut my teeth on these guys. After stripping the paint using Citri-Strip, I re-based him on a 32mm GW round and cleaned up the metal best as I could.  I like to think of these older model projects as restorations of a sort.   I used Vallejo German Red Brown primer and followed it with a generous soft dry brush of white as an undercoat.  All of my regular paints are made by Warcolours, a gel based line out of Cypress.  They are fairly transparent and glaze very well, and while this is a nice quality it does take a while to build up color.
